The New England Patriots equaled their longest winning run from the Brady era as they defeated division opponents the Jets 27-14 in the NFL

First-year standout Henderson led the way with three scores as the Patriots secured an eighth straight win for the first time since iconic QB Brady's final season with the franchise in 2019

QB Maye threw for 281 passing yards and a touchdown, completing 25 of 34 passes

The triumph increases the New England's lead at the top of the division as they advanced to a 9-2 record, with the New York bottom after slipping to two victories and eight defeats

The Jets had scored first at their home field with quarterback Fields rushing for a five-yard touchdown to cap the New York's first possession

But the Patriots fought back in the second period as Henderson ran in two short rushing scores before the running back caught a pass from Maye at the back of the end zone midway through the third period to extend the lead to 21-7

"That was a crucial moment for him delivering, and it's been excellent for him to keep getting these reps," the quarterback said of Henderson. "He wants to be great."

Fields found Metchie toward the end of the third quarter to reduce the lead for the Jets but Borregales kicked a two field goals in the fourth quarter as the home side sealed the victory
